Our 2025 Recap on the Farm

Happy New Year!

We are anxiously looking forward to what 2026 will bring.

  We thought it would be fun to give a recap on some of the things that happened on the farm this year. All occurring in extreme/exceptional drought conditions.

All of this wouldn’t be possible without your support. We are looking forward to another great year of serving you.

2025 AT A GLANCE

  1. We utilized over 500 acres to raise:

    1. over 100 head of cattle

    2. over 60 new calves born & raised

    3. over 10,000 meat birds

    4. over 600 turkeys

    5. roughly 1,500 laying hens with more in the pullet stage

    6. 60 pigs

    7. a small herd of sheep

   

WHAT WE HARVESTED FOR YOU

  1. over 31,000lbs of beef harvested

  2. roughly 310,000 eggs collected

  3. over 27,500 lbs of chicken

  4. over 10,800 lbs of turkey

  5. 6,000 lbs of pork

  6. decided we were not ready to take on a full herd of sheep & sent the sheep to Pure Pastures in Canyon Lake

WHAT WE KEPT FROM THE LANDFILL

  1. Whey(leftover from cheese making)Courtesy of RiverWhey Creamery-9000 gallons-went to pigs & compost

  2. Pumpkins-hundreds-we lost count after 300 & enjoyed by animals and microbes alike

  3. Food scraps (by partnering with Mission Compost)-roughly 2.6 millions lbs turned into compost
