We are a small family farm in Schertz, Texas with soil on our minds. If we give our animals the best, they will provide us with great quality pasture raised meats. Each day we continue to grow and learn more about the land we steward. As we continue to improve the quality of the land, our hope is that the fruit that is reaped would be a testament to Him who provides all.
Restoring the Soil
Regenerative Grazing
Here on our farm, we utilize multi-species intensive grazing, allowing the animals to work together through constant movement to restore the soil, which is the foundation of everything we do. The animals get to roam, graze, and peck at the pastures they visit, in turn depositing their manure and using their weight to regenerate the soil and grasses.
In restoring the soil, we are able to mend the land and nourish our community that we are a part of. It’s not about feeding the world, but it’s about our ability to provide for those around us. The more farms, the better to meet the needs of their communities.
Compost
We partner with community members to operate a closed-loop compost system. This minimizes our community's environmental footprint by keeping food scraps out of the landfill while taking our unusable animal by-products and returning them to the soil, feeding the vegetation and creating nutrients for the next animals to graze upon.
Our compost is truly a community effort:
Through Mission Compost we receive food scraps from restaurants, neighborhoods, grocers, and local businesses, which contribute nitrogen.
A local arborist delivers wood chips we use for our carbon source.
Whey from a local creamery is used for moisture and enhancing microbial activity.
In turn, we make compost available to our community through our online store so our neighbors can regenerate their own soil by rapidly releasing nutrients, increasing water retention, and suppressing weeds and pests on their land. This way, we are able to complete a full circle: what once left the customers’ home/business as food scraps returns to them as biologically active compost that improves the land.
Local Grass-Fed And Pasture-Raised Meat
Beef
Our grass-fed regenerative beef is pasture-raised and humanely managed. We rotate our pastures, allowing our cows to derive the maximum benefit from the land and our ecosystem, and that commitment is evident in the taste of our beef.
Pork
Our pasture-raised pork is raised in our silvopastures, rotating and foraging underneath live oak trees. They are supplemented with a custom mix of non-GMO corn- and soy-free feed, along with fruits, veggies, and whey from our local community.
Local Pasture-Raised Poultry and Eggs
Chicken
Our broilers spend their days in a chicken tractor that is moved daily to allow for fertilization and fresh forage.
Turkey
Our pastured turkeys are raised beneath the canopies of our oak trees with temporary electric fencing to allow for rotational grazing. Turkeys are supplemented with a custom mix of non-GMO corn- and soy- free feed. We offer Thanksgiving turkeys in the fall.
Local Eggs
Our pastured eggs are nutrient-rich and delicious. Available by the dozen or the case.
Our Philosophy
We farm and ranch as a testament to the abundance of the Father. We love and steward the land as we love and steward each other, understanding that no one or anything belongs to us, but only to the Father.
