The Pigs Favorite Time of the Year!

We are waking up to cool mornings, and the animals are loving the weather change. We are glad to see the 90* days behind us for 2025. And-we were blessed with rain-so thankful for last weekend’s rain storms.

This week has been a busy one-restocking chicken and getting everybody in place for our Farm Tour this weekend-Saturday November 1st. We have given the turkeys, pigs, and sheep a lecture to behave themselves all Saturday morning.

This is the first time we will have a walking tour along with a hay ride. We are bringing the pigs and sheep up so you can see them along with the turkeys up close.

If you are looking to get rid of those pumpkins once Halloween has passed, bring them to the farm starting Saturday November 1st. You can throw some to the sheep, chickens, turkeys, and pigs, and we will take some to our cattle. -Pumpkins have lots of nutrients for the animals. (please no painted or moldy pumpkins.) If you come on a Thursday or Saturday during our farm hours-we can walk to the pigs and turkeys and throw them a pumpkin treat. No pumpkin will go to waste on the farm.

November and December 2025-wow-hard to believe another year has almost gone. It’s a busy few weeks as we get turkeys out the door for your Thanksgiving table, chicken will be fully restocked in December(YES!-we are so close to having our normal chickens back on the farm), and we get to look forward to a small rest before we welcome our Spring Turkeys onto the farm. Thankful for all the challenges 2025 has brought so far, and we are looking forward to finishing out the year with healthy animals and customers.
