Juicy Ground Turkey Burger Recipe

Switch things up a bit from regular ground beef.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 2 tablespoons grated onion (or finely minced)

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional, for extra flavor)

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika (or regular paprika)

  • ½ teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs (or almond flour for low-carb)

  • 1 egg

  • Optional:

    • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

    • ¼ teaspoon cayenne for spice

    • ¼ cup shredded cheese mixed in (for richness)

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Gently mix with your hands or a spoon until just combined. Avoid over mixing—it can make the burgers tough.  Divide into 4 equal portions and shape into patties about ¾-inch thick. Press a slight dimple in the center of each one to help them cook evenly and avoid puffing up.

  2. Stovetop: Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat with a bit of oil. Cook for 5–6 minutes per side, until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).

  3. Grill: Grill over medium heat for the same time, flipping once.

  4. Let rest, serve on a toasted bun loaded with all your favorite toppings.
